Who might be considered a helping professional?

 

Lots of jobs falling under the umbrella of helping profession.   Essentially if you nurture the growth of clients or staff members and in dealing so deal with the psychological, emotional, educational, spiritual, physcial needs and problems of others, you are a helping professional.

Commonly recognised helping professionals include:

• Counsellors

• Psychotherapists

• Coaches

• Teachers and Headteachers

• Safeguarding Leads

• Teaching assistants

• Nurses and other health workers

• Social workers

• Members of the ministry
